Supporting TV and film industry with a waterjet system

Feb 25, 2026

Founded in 2009, London Waterjet is an experienced waterjet subcontractor providing high quality waterjet profile cutting services across the United Kingdom. The company is known for working within tight timeframes and delivering fast turnaround on complex cutting projects.

With a small and dedicated team, London Waterjet supports a wide range of industries and is widely recognised as a trusted profile cutting partner for the TV and film industry. The team maintains close customer relationships and regularly supports clients looking for efficient solutions to cut challenging parts.

The Challenge

Following increased demand from both existing and new customers, London Waterjet decided to invest in a second waterjet cutting machine to expand production capacity.

Maintaining the highest cut quality was a priority. The company required a waterjet system that could increase cutting speed, improve accuracy, and support reliable daily production.

The Solution

London Waterjet invested in a Techni Intec-G2 510 abrasive waterjet cutting system paired with the Quantum Electric Servo Pump. The system was selected for its advanced pump technology, cutting accuracy, and production efficiency.

Operational Advantages

The fourth generation Quantum ESP operating with the new machine provides extended high pressure seal life and stable performance.

When a seal replacement is required, the process takes less than 10 minutes, making maintenance fast and straightforward. This contributes to higher workshop productivity, increased uptime, and faster order fulfilment.

As the Quantum pump is powered by an electric servo motor, it operates quietly and maintains lower running costs compared to traditional pump technologies.

Customer Feedback

Ryan Walker, director at London Waterjet, said:

The innovation in accuracy and pump technology was a big driver for us and has not disappointed. We have been able to take on additional jobs thanks to the increased cutting speed and clever software.”

With the addition of this system, London Waterjet continues to strengthen its position as a leading waterjet cutting provider for the TV and film industry.
